Sports and recreation camps start at 8:30 and run to 4:30pm each day, Monday to Friday. You can register for 1 week and up to 9 weeks during the summer and can pick the weeks you wish your child to attend. The camp is designed for ages 5 to 8 year olds. Grouping with friend requests will be honored. Activities can be tennis, baseball, basketball, flag football, wiffle ball, soccer, volleyball, golf, dodgeball, kickball, etc.

CEDAR CREEK PARK - Wantagh • Merrick Road

This park offers handball/paddleball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, pickleball courts, softball fields, turf multipurpose fields, grass multipurpose field, playgrounds and pavilions.

HOLBROOK ROAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - Centereach • Holbrook Road

This location offers softball fields, grass fields, hard surface for court sports and playground.

Severe weather could cancel the Summer Recreation Camp for that day. This Program is only outdoors and will not commence if there is severe weather before camp begins. Program MAY be cancelled should there be severe weather throughout the day. A phone call will be made to parents by 7:30am if camp will be cancelled for that day. Parents must retrieve children immediately if camp is cancelled during camp hours.

Communications from the camp office will be sent through the Crossbar Mobile Application. Details of the application will be given with camp orientation packet that will be emailed prior to start of camp.

Light rain is a possibility and pavilions are to be used in that case for arts and crafts and for playing board games.

Late pick up may result in surcharge and fees. Pick up is PROMPTLY at 4:30pm. Failure to pick up your child in a timely manner may result in extra fees.

Sunscreen is encouraged to be applied prior to camp and to provide children with sunscreen and instruct in self-use.

Clothing and personal items that children will bring to camp must be properly labeled.

Lunches, snacks and drinks must be brought to camp by campers. Water will be available for campers if camper brings their own cup. We are a nut and peanut free program
